I knew that mower wouldn't last
.
About 16 years ago we had 3 (already old) used gas lawnmowers which had just come to us the way those things often do. Hand me downs. None of them worked very well. A friend's dad did a little small engine repair to occupy his retirement hours, so we struck a deal. Take all three, and give us back one that worked well.
We were all happy with the arrangement, and that mower has been working up until this spring.
I tried to make it run again, but soon realized it was beyond my capabilities. So, it turns out 'dad of friend' is still tinkering. He checks it out, tells us it is not worth fixing and sells us one that is. (newer and better) For $50.
FIFTY BUCKS! And i'm sure it will last 16 years as well.
WAY better than a paying for a shiny new one at Rona.
Sometimes things just work out.
