Music in my mailbox
It was a little delayed, but it finally arrived.

When i was a kid, we didn't have a lot of music in the house, but i did get my musical interest started on a few of my dad's records. I loved listening to this (and perhaps the cover contributed to it being a favorite). Recently my dad gave me his albums and 'Whipped Cream' got converted to MP3 immediately. The flat, scratchy, hiss filled sound transports me back to my living room in Fort Richmond. Click on the lovely lady for the original delights.
It is probably time to order the re-release with 2 extra tracks (NOT available from iTunes Canada. AArrghh.) I'm sure it can sound good AND bring back memories.

And it was well worth it.
I have been ordering more music online recently. iTunes music store often hasn't had what i've been looking for. (or only partial albums ??!!) so most of it has been coming from CDPlus.com.
Good prices. Free shipping. A little treat in the mailbox a couple of days later. And i don't have to deal with the 'record store amnesia' i develop in HMV.
The latest is a "re-mixed" version of a classic from the mid 60's. I've been listening to it all day, and it has taken a favorite of mine (and many others judging from the Google hits) and made it even better. If you have iTunes, touch the cream to have a listen.
