A little break from photo retail

.

Well, it's sort of hard to believe, but this past Friday was my last day working at Photo Central.
I have been working there for a little longer than 9 years (and in the photo retail biz for the larger part of the last ....(oh my) 29 years.)

It was time to make a change, and a great opportunity was presented to me by my sister-in-law, Wanda. She needs someone to document her inventory, create and manage a data base, and physically arrange all the work to be easily accessible. Although, it is of course a finite task, it is a big project which will keep me occupied (and interested) for many months.

I have been wanting to move in a different direction for a while now, so i am quite excited about this new adventure.

I will be developing the nature of the job as i go, so i will post about it in the coming months.
(oh, and since i will have a little more free time, i expect to post somewhat more frequently than once every 3 months!)

Way to go Bruce... this takes conviction and courage. Wanda is lucky to have your talents. I expect when the word of your availability gets out, you'll be hopping busy. Looking forward to getting together over bikes or cameras... hmmm, at one time we used to get together for beers, what happened?!

Cheers friend. M
