And I was worried it wouldn't stick

I'm sure that my throngs of faithful readers will remember a post from nearly a year ago, about a cool (if somewhat um...impractical) device called the Monster Pod.
After waiting for it to finally be shipping, and then wait some more for it to be available in Canada.... I got one!
Admittedly, it made some performance claims which I was sceptical about, but I still had to have one.
Specifically, its ability to hold a camera on a vertical surface was in question.
But I needn't have been doubtful. IT STICKS!!

In fact, it sticks really really well.

Now, I was able to peel most of the 'magic polymer' off the tree, and clearly THIS tree wasn't one of the 1000 things they claimed it would work well on, but I will have to be a bit more discerning about my surface choices in the future. It works great on granite.
It will still be a handy device, as there are some places a little tripod just won't work. (you know...like ah... well, trees)
