GlobalPandora - Pandora hacked to give world access again? - The Red Ferret Journal
It DOES work, and I am very pleased. I am listening right now.
When Pandora started, I signed in using a US zip code. Listened. Enjoyed. And occasionally bought something I was previously unfamiliar with.
Then the record companies (I believe) asked them to stop delivering music to non US ISPs.
(Thus compelling me to buy hundreds of CDs just to see if there was something I liked, as this is the only reasonable way to distribute music)
I haven't investigated the new presence, but I was able to sign in with my original account info. (So perhaps it's not a 'hack') I hope it lasts.
GlobalPandora - Pandora hacked to give world access again? - The Red Ferret Journal:
GlobalPandora. Er…it looks as though some enterprising folk have opened the wonderful Pandora up to the world again. This comes hot on the heels of the announcement that the UK is to lose access to Pandora this week due to…gasp, guess what…a breakdown of talks with the ever stupid record industry. Of course I can’t test it until the cut-off comes tomorrow, but if it works as seems…well fabulous.
